The new Ford S-Max won’t reach UK dealers until early 2015, due to a new Ford supply backlog caused by the closure of the firm’s production plant in Genk, Belgium. In the meantime, Ford is pushing ahead with development of the new S-Max, seen testing here alongside the first-gen model that’s been on sale since 2006. These spy shots come from the United States, where the new S-Max has been spied testing for the first time since its concept car outgoing.
Hennessey Performance Engineering has a new power package for the McLaren MP4-12C. For $19,500 (plus the base price of the car, obviously) it pushes output to 704 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque. That's an increase of 88 hp and 96 lb-ft.
Ford will debut a new S-Max Concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. As the name suggests, this previews a future replacement for the current S-Max ‘sports activity vehicle’ – the people carrier that does everything it can to avoid having you feel like you’re driving a people carrier…
